A mystifying underworld criminal abducts a company senior accountant, administers a mind controlling procedure, manipulating him to murder the corrupt CEO he colludes with.
ABOUT THE STORY
Seth Foyers is senior accountant at Davis Enterprises, a growing tech company. Jeffrey Davis, the company’s CEO has let greed get the best of him. After creating a charity fund to raise money for patients who are in need of expensive medical procedures, he found himself pocketing 70% of the donations, costing thousands of lives. Davis brought in Seth to hide this immoral discrepancy in the books.
Eero, the forerunner of the underworld criminal organization, holds a tight grip on his grudge against the leaders and figures in society that are involved with corruption. He developed a method for mind control to force a permanent solution to this issue being overlooked, and to discretely conduct an intervention for both Seth, Davis, and others alike.
CONCEPT REALIZATION
INTENT
This project is being completed as a requirement for the Master of Fine Arts degree in Film & Media Art at Emerson College. The idea of this short film derived from a feature film concept centered around the same topic, which will resume progress after this project is completed. I wanted to create a universe where we see an array of characters in positions of power, those that abuse that power, and those that can no longer tolerate this abuse, delivering their own form of justice.
WHY TELL THIS STORY?
This story will serve as the foundation for the types of themes that I am passionate about in filmmaking. We will place a microscope on characters that most would deem as evil, and peel back the layers on their reasoning for their extreme behaviors. The goal of this story is to bring forth the unfiltered truth that most shy away from.
