Tarell A. Wright

Director - Writer - Sound

Tarell A. Wright is a filmmaker, primarily focused on directing, writing, sound recording, and editing. He uses narrative filmmaking as an avenue for revealing the hardships of individuals, exploring the themes that blur the lines between good and evil, and a place to tell personal stories. He is a graduate of William Paterson University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a concentration in Media Production and is currently attending Emerson College where he is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Film & Media Art. Tarell has experience as a Graduate Assistant where he assisted a professor with hands-on camera, sound, and lighting equipment demos. He is currently an Event Technical Lead at Encore Global where he sets up and operates intermediate/advanced audio-visual systems in large venues inside of hotels. He is a co-host, editor, and graphic designer on Reel Talk Podcast, primarily focused on cinema and the representation of black actors in the film & television industry. Tarell has appeared on Boston 25 News discussing the representation of black people at the 2021 Oscars and in Hollywood. His most recent work includes short films and a series of short-form videos completed during his period as a multimedia production intern and graduate assistant.
